World famous metal band Týr was running for the same prize, together with three other Faroese bands: 200, Frodi & The Pink Slips and Divaz.

During the same evening, also other Faroese artists have been awarded: Eivør (best female singer, best solo artist and best album release with her brand new album Room), Hans Andrias Jacobsen (best new solo artist), Finnur Koba (best male singer) and Vanja (best song with All In).
